It was great to see Daffodil Day well supported and a big thank you to businesses who provided a space for the donation boxes for the day. Next year we would like to have them out a little earlier perhaps the beginning of August.
Bizlink has its Annual General Meeting at the Hawera Club on the 19th September 5.15pm. Anyone wanting to join our executive committee is most welcome to fill out a nomination form, available from our office or via email theteam@bizlinkhawera.co.nz. Committee members are required to attend a meeting once a month, missing no more than three meetings a year. Committee members provide a strong backbone of support for our Bizlink co-ordinators, they are busy business owners who voluntarily put time into strengthening the wider business community.
On another note we are busy planning the participation of our local retailers with floral window displays and flower pots outside businesses during the Powerco Taranaki Garden Spectacular and Fringe Garden Festival. We are putting together a “Think Local, Think Loyal” Campaign leading into our Christmas Street Festival and Parade Day – 10th December…
